Winemaker Comments
This wine is an attractive, deep plum colour and displays great
blackberry, plum, licorice and chocolate notes on the nose. The
palate is well structured with nice soft tannins and plumy fruit
flavours. The length and the balance make it a very enjoyable
wine to drink now or in the next 2 years.

“There are a few things to love about this Victorian shiraz. First there’s the price: $15 is really not very much to pay for a wine with character and interest, especially from a producer with the pedigree of Taltarni. And then there’s the body of the wine: despite carrying a not-insignificant 14 per cent alcohol, there’s a lightness of touch here, a translucent quality to the black fruit, a spiciness and mintiness to the perfume and powdery, savoury element to the finish.”
