Tasmania, Tamar Valley 100%
Variety: Riesling 100%
Lower yields for the 2009 vintage resulted in concentrated fruit flavours whilst still maintaining superb crisp natural acidity. Fruit was hand picked from a single vineyard and fermented in small parcels under cool temperature controlled stainless steel vats to retain delicate varietal aromas and floral notes. Capturing the unique terroir of Tasmania and cool-climate varietal characteristics, the 2009 Lalla Gully Riesling displays beautiful lime-zest and citrus flavours with a lingering refreshing mineral finish.
Winemaker Comments
A youthful pale straw colour with green hue, the bouquet is very attractive with floral and lime notes, the palate displays great mineral notes with complex and intense citrus aromas, the natural acidity provide a fantastic length of flavours.Served chilled, best enjoyed young and fresh but has the acidity and balance to age gracefully. Bottled under screwcap the wine remains crisp and vibrant.
