Taltarni is one of the Australian pioneers of Sauvignon Blanc. Taltarni Sauvignon Blanc 2009 is crafted entirely from fruit sourced from Taltarni’s vineyards in Victoria’s Pyrenees and Tasmania.
The cool climate of Victoria’s Pyrenees is ideally suited to producing a zesty and aromatic Sauvignon Blanc. Inclusion of Tasmanian fruit is a distinctive characteristic of Taltarni’s Sauvignon Blanc - imparting lifted gooseberry and grapefruit flavours. The grapes are picked at 3 distinct ripeness levels to maximise the array of fruit characters. Sealed under screwcap, this wine retains absolute freshness to the very last drop.
Winemaker Comments
This wine is a bright, pale straw colour with green tinges, bursting with a mix of passionfruit, lychee and grapefruit aromas and hints of lime. The wine is light bodied and refreshing, but with excellent fruit and persistence from 6 months of batonnnage in stainless steel.
Taltarni Sauvignon Blanc 2009 is the perfect spring and summer wine.
