Loïc Le Calvez - Taltarni & Clover Hill Senior Winemaker and Oenologist
Dynamic young French winemaker, Loïc Le Calvez, extends Taltarni's tradition of French winemakers. Loïc developed a fond interest in wine while working in his father’s fine wine store in Brittany in France, supported by wine and management studies in Bordeaux.
Loïc came to Australia in 2002 working as assistant winemaker for Taltarni and Clover Hill, followed by a vintage in Sonoma County in California; before returning to Taltarni for now his sixth vintage with Taltarni. Loїc’s inspiration relates to experience – comparing previous vintages and successes as references to create more consistent and elegant wine styles.
