Taltarni Vineyards - Heathcote Taltarni sources fruit from the world renowned Heathcote wine region in Central Victoria - noted for its historical Cambrian soils formed over 500 million years ago and its hallmark Shiraz red wines. The striking geological profile of Heathcote with its two narrow bands of red Cambrian soils aside the region’s fault line inspired the vibrant abstract representation of Taltarni’s Heathcote Shiraz label.
Vines for Taltarni’s Heathcote Shiraz were planted in 1997 on Heathcote’s famous Cambrian soils. Dry climatic conditions and management to maintain low yields results in an exceptional wine expressing powerful dark red fruits, peppery tones and good balanced tannin structure.
