Lalla Gully - North East Tasmania Established in 1992, Lalla Gully vineyard in NE Tasmania was purchased by Taltarni in 1998. The petite 44 acre Lalla Gully property is dedicated to producing cool climate aromatic white varietals and Pinot Noir. Vines are planted on elevated rich red soil slopes around the gully, acting as a natural shelter from heavy winds. Focus is on optimizing light interception and fruit ripening via canopy management techniques with most of the vineyard planted on a Lyre ‘V’, trellis system.
Lalla Gully wines reflect the intense and fresh mineral aromas and flavours of Tasmania’s cool climate wine region. |
